CanPower

 

CanPower A 

CanPower A is for athletes that are potentially registered in Initiation to 1st year Atom Level Hockey and Ringette programs.  (Typically ages 6-9) CanPower A is an action packed, high energy program that focuses on balance, stopping, initial power, crossovers, and endurance with specific training and techniques to developing proper and efficient forward and backward stride. This is NOT a learn to skate program.  Participants may have passed Stage 6/7 of the CanSkate Program, and/ or graduated from the PreCanPower Program.  Skaters must be able to participate in a fast paced 45-minute session. This is an excellent supplementary program that will refine and hone your skating skills for life! 

  • CSA approved helmet is mandatory.
  • Full Equipment and stick are mandatory.
  • Water bottle is HIGHLY recommended.

CanPower B

CanPower B is a fast-paced, agility-driven power program that is designed for hockey or ringette players that already have a strong level of skating abilities (forward, backward, stopping, forward and backward crossovers). This program will take existing skills and further develop and enhance a players speed, strength and agility.   This program is a dynamic and fast paced full hour training session.  Participants are 2nd year Atom - Junior Level Hockey / Ringette (Typically ages 10-19). 

  • CSA approved helmet is mandatory.
  • Full Equipment and stick are mandatory.
  • Water bottle is HIGHLY recommended

OSC is very excited to get all of our skaters back on the ice starting July 5th! 

This summer we will be offering 2 weekly programs in July for CanPower at the Pason Arena.   You can click the program name to be taken to the registration page.

Additional Fees 

  • Skate Canada membership fee of $44.00 (non-refundable and non-transferrable)  
    Membership year - September 1 - August 31 
  • When you/your child registers for a skating program at our club, you also become a member of Skate Canada, the national sport governing body for figure skating in Canada. There are many advantages that go with a Skate Canada membership such as accident insurance, access to Skate Canada programs and materials, the opportunity to participate in interclub and invitational competitions and special member prices on merchandise from the on-line store.
