PowerSkate - Fall 2026

For skating lessons from October to December 2026

Registration Dates: 

Registration for the Fall season of CanSkate/PowerSkate and the full Fall/Winter season of Figure skating will open on the following dates: 

Okotoks/Foothills County Residents: July 6, 2026

Public Registration: July 15, 2026

Out-of-Club StarSkate: August 1, 2026

All Fall/Winter programming will take place at the Okotoks Recreation Centre - Piper Arena and Scott Seaman Sports Rink in DeWinton. 

Registration Deadlines:

CanSkate / Pre-CanSkate: October 18, 2026 (or until sessions are full)

PrePower / PowerSkate: October 18, 2026 (or until sessions are full)

StarSkate: January 31, 2027 (or until sessions are full).

What's after PowerSkate JR? 

Once a skater has reached the age of 10 years old and is at the 2nd year U11 level or higher, skaters can look to register for the PowerSkate Sr program. This 45-minute full ice program will take existing skills and further develop and enhance a player's speed, strength and agility. 

Taught by specially trained NCCP Skate Canada coaches, with many years of experience including overseas training, this is an excellent program to continue building up skills trained in Power A and into the higher levels of hockey/ringette. 

PowerSkate Sr is offered three times per season - Fall, Winter and Spring as a morning class.
