    BEFORE PURCHASING, PLEASE DISCUSS WITH A COACH IF A MEETING IS NECESSARY 

    For skaters at the Star 2 level and up. If you are unsure of your skater's level, please ask a Coach. 

    This is a 15-minute in-person meeting with Coach Lisa and/or Coach Talia to discuss your skater's goals for the season. 

    Once you have purchased, a link to the Coach's meeting booking site will be sent to your email address on account. Please select from the times available. 

    Please allow for 2-4 business days for the information to arrive.

    The Okotoks Skating Club is THRILLED to announce a truly special seminar specifically for our club's StarSkate athletes!

    We are honoured to welcome two-time Olympic Champion Ekaterina Gordeeva and World Professional Champion Violetta Afanasieva as our distinguished guest instructors. 

    This seminar offers rare, direct access to world-class expertise and mentorship. Skaters will benefit from a focus on high-quality skating fundamentals, with a strong emphasis on performance excellence shaped by elite international experience. Our special guests will share invaluable insights and techniques that set the standard at the highest levels of the sport.

    Intermediate & Senior Skaters - $80 per Skater

    • Full Day Seminar approx  9:00 am - 6:30 pm
    • Includes 2 On Ice Sessions & 1 Off Ice Session

     

    All Levels & Skaters will receive:

    • Musical Exploration: Skaters will work with a wide variety of musical accompaniment, encouraging them to explore different emotions and musical styles while developing edge quality and advanced skating skills.
    • Performance Development: Focused sessions on projecting emotion, storytelling, and engaging the audience, helping skaters unlock their performance potential.
    • Inspiration & Mentorship: Learn from champions who have competed and excelled at the highest international level, gaining unique perspectives and motivation to elevate your skating journey.
    • Off-Ice Activities: Take part in some fun and interactive Team Building and Personal Growth activities facilitated by the Orenda Society.
    • Group Pictures, Meet & Greet & Autograph Session -  Skaters will get a chance to finish the day with an exclusive session where they can ask Ekaterina & Violetta questions and get autographs to remember the day!

     

    Intermediate & Senior Skaters will receive:

    • On-Ice Technical Training: Skaters will receive small group sessions focused on level-appropriate jumps, spins & field moves.
    • Off-Ice Training: Skaters will take part in dedicated sessions focusing on the importance of off-ice warm-up as well as core exercises and aesthetics.

     

    Pricing & Registration:

    The Okotoks Skating Club will be covering the majority of the cost to bring in these exciting guests to work with our skaters and subsidize the registration prices to help ensure as many of our StarSkaters can take part if they are able to.
