Intermediate STARSkate

The Intermediate STARSkate program is designed for the skater who has graduated from the Junior Program or by Coaches discretion. Star 2-5 Tests in Dance Freeskate and Skills will be the focus as well as training to compete at the Star 2-5 Levels during the season. Skaters are grouped based on skating skills and coaches discretion. The program fee includes ice costs only, there will be additional costs associated with Coach lessons provided in class. It is recommended participants contact the OSC Head Coach at or prior to registration to discuss scheduled lessons and budgets.

Mandatory session SUNDAY or MONDAY.
Off-Ice training is included in SUNDAY and FRIDAY sessions. Off-Ice training is encouraged to support balance, coordination flexibility, core awareness and sport specific jumps and spin techniques.
The season runs September 6 to December 22, 2022 and January 8 - April 13, 2023.
Please note the week of March 20th 2023 is for Gala rehearsals and event, the cost for this week is not included in the pricing below. Details and pricing for Gala will be sent out at a later date.

Skate Canada Membership Fee

Skate Canada membership fee of $44.00 (non-refundable and non-transferrable)
Membership year - September 1 - August 31.

When you/your child registers for a skating program at our club, you also become a member of Skate Canada, the national sport governing body for figure skating in Canada. There are many advantages that go with a Skate Canada membership such as accident insurance, access to Skate Canada programs and materials, the opportunity to participate in interclub and invitational competitions and special member prices on merchandise from the online store.

Coaching Fees

Coaching fees are not included in registration fees. Members can expect to be charged by coaches directly, in accordance with the Coaches Brochure.

Depending on your skater(s) level and participation, members can expect charges, including but not limited to: Competition coaching and fees, Program (music) creation and choreography, test fees, simulations, off-ice training, Gala Ice Show fees, etc.

Equipment & Apparel

Members are expected to dress their participant in appropriate apparel and equipment. Costs vary and members should expect to add this expense to their budget. OSC will offer OSC branded apparel from time to time and will host used dress/skate sales annually.
