Updates for the 2024-25 season

  • Mandatory Sessions: This season, all StarSkate levels, including Junior, Intermediate A, Intermediate B, and Senior, must participate in a mandatory session. Skaters can choose between two mandatory session options. Please refer to the categories below for session details.
  • You will be informed of your skater's StarSkate level before the season starts. For more information or to confirm your skater's level, please contact Coach Talia at coachtalia@okotoksskatingclub.ca.
  • Package discounts are available for each level. The discount amounts are listed under each level, and look under 'Available Discounts'. Please note that the deadline for these discounts is August 15, 2024. Register early to qualify for this multi-day discount.
  • Coach/Skating Goal Setting Meetings: This season, the Coach/Skater goal-setting meeting is optional for skaters at the Star 2 level and Up. More information will be provided at the Parent Orientation Meetings in Sept (dates below).
  • The Volunteer Policy remains the same this season; families with a skater or skaters in the Jr/Int/Sr levels are required to complete 20 credits of volunteering during the season, while families with a skater only in the Pre-Junior level must complete 10 credits. Families with skaters in both the Pre-Junior and Jr/Int/Sr levels will follow the credit requirements for their highest-level skater. For more information, please see the volunteer policy page, or click here.
  • IMPORTANT DATE!
  • Mark your calendars - Parent Information Meetings will be held via Google Meet on Sunday, Sept 8, 2024, times as follows:
    • Pre-Junior Skaters - Parent Meeting: 7:00 pm
    • Junior Skaters - Parent Meeting: 7:30 pm
    • Int / Sr Skaters - Parent Meeting 8:00 pm

All parents are expected to attend. An invitation to the meeting will be sent via email to all registered members after Sept 3, 2024.

  • ICE SHOW YEAR! This year, our club is excited to host our bi-annual ice show at the end of March 2025. Planning and running an event like this takes many hours of preparation and requires a lot of help beforehand and on the day of the event. We hope you will consider signing up to help when the time comes. Events like this really are a once-in-a-lifetime experience for our skaters. Most skaters will tell you that their best memories of skating come from ice shows. We hope you'll help make this next show the best yet!

Session days and times are subject to change without notice.
OSC reserves the right to cancel or adjust sessions or pricing as deemed necessary by the OSC Board of Directors.
All withdrawals and cancellations are subject to the OSC Cancellation & Refund Policy.

Junior - Fall/Winter 2024/25

  • MANDATORY SESSION OPTIONS: Junior w/ Dryland Sunday OR Junior w/ Dryland Friday
  • Junior level STARSkate session fees include ice costs only. More information on coaching fees below.
  • Payment by instalments is optional and may be selected at checkout.

  • DRYLAND NOTICE: Skaters are NOT supervised between the on-ice session and the dryland session. We ask parents to supervise their skater from the on-ice session to the dryland training room or arrange for someone to do so. The same applies for bathroom or water breaks; skaters will have to visit the bathroom or water fountain on their own. If you are not comfortable with this, please stay nearby or arrange for someone to assist your skater.
  • Daily Drop-In sessions are available for purchase for most sessions. Skaters wishing to drop-in for a session MUST contact the coaches for approval prior to registration. Contact coachtalia@okotoksskatingclub.ca for approval. For information on how to purchase a drop-in session, click here.
