PowerSkate - Fall 2025

For skating lessons from October to December 2025

Registration Dates: 

Registration for the Fall season of CanSkate/PowerSkate will open on the following dates: 

Okotoks/Foothills County Residents: July 14, 2025

Public Registration: July 23, 2025

All Fall/Winter programming will take place at the Okotoks Recreation Centre - Piper Arena and Scott Seaman Sports Rink in DeWinton. 

Registration Deadlines:

CANSKATE/PRE-CANSKATE: October 17, 2025 (or until sessions are full)

PRE-POWER/POWERSKATE: October 17, 2025 (or until sessions are full)

REGISTRATION OPENS JULY 14 AT 9 AM

PowerSkate JR - Fall 2025

For skaters in 2nd year U7 to 1st year U11 hockey/ringette

What's after PowerSkate Jr? 

Once a skater has reached the age of 10 years old and is at the 2nd year U11 level or higher, skaters can look to register for the PowerSkate Sr program. This 45-minute full ice program will take existing skills and further develop and enhance a players speed, strength and agility. 

Taught by specially trained NCCP Skate Canada coaches, with many years of experience including overseas training, this is an excellent program to continue building up skills trained in Power A and into the higher levels of hockey/ringette. 

PowerSkate Sr is offered three times per season - Fall, Winter and Spring as a morning class.

Required Equipment

Equipment required: Full hockey/ringette gear including stick, water bottle and CSA-approved hockey helmet is mandatory. 

Female PowerSkate - Fall 2025

For female skaters in 2nd year U9 and up hockey/ringette

Additional Fees

Skate Canada Membership Fee 2025-26 - $62

The Skate Canada Membership fee is due once per season and is mandatory for all on-ice participants. This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. 

The current season dates are Sept 1, 2025 to August 31, 2026. 

Payment is required before any participant may take to the ice. The fee is made up of a registrant fee to both the National office and Section office (Alberta-NWT/Nun), the Safe Sport fee and Injury Benefit Charge.
