StarSkate - Summer 2025

Registration Dates:

Registration for the Summer 2025 season will open on the following dates:

Open to Okotoks Residents: Friday, April 25, 2025

Open to Public: Friday, May 2, 2025

All Spring & Summer programming takes place at the Gold Arena at Viking Rentals Centre Arenas.

Registration Deadlines:

Registration will close each Monday before the session week begins, or earlier if the session is full.

Important details for Summer 2025

Summer 2025 consists of 2 groups for figure skating participants - Group A and Group B:

- Group A is for Junior or Intermediate A level (or Coaches discretion).

- Group B is for Intermediate B or Senior level (or Coaches discretion).

If you have questions about your skaters level or would like to confirm your skater's level, please contact Coach Talia at coachtalia@okotoksskatingclub.ca.

Register for all 4 weeks of Summer sessions and receive a 20% discount — roughly the equivalent of getting one week free.

Sessions are available by weekly purchase (3-sessions, Tue/Wed/Thurs) or by daily-drop-in. Registration will cut off for the week each Monday OR when sessions are full.

NOTE: Week 1 takes place in the evening. Weeks 2, 3 & 4 take place in the afternoon.

The crossover between on-ice and off-ice sessions is NOT supervised. If your skater requires assistance, we encourage parents or guardians to be present to help with skate removal and escorting to the dryland session, or to ensure that another responsible individual is available to assist.

Session days and times are subject to change without notice.

OSC reserves the right to cancel or adjust sessions or pricing as deemed necessary by the OSC Board of Directors.

All withdrawals and cancellations are subject to the OSC Cancellation & Refund Policy.

Additional Fees

Skate Canada Membership Fee 2024-25 - $62

The Skate Canada Membership fee is due once per season and is mandatory for all on-ice participants. This fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.

The current season dates are Sept 1, 2024 to August 31, 2025.

Payment is required before any participant may take to the ice. The fee is made up of a registrant fee to both the National office and Section office (Alberta-NWT/Nun), the Safe Sport fee and Injury Benefit Charge.

Coaching Fees

Coaching fees are not included in registration fees. Members can expect to be charged by coaches directly for any private, semi-private or small group lessons, with payment due to the coaches.

Depending on your skater(s) level and participation, members can expect charges, including but not limited to: Competition coaching and fees, program (music) creation and choreography, test fees, simulations, off-ice training, Year-End Ice Show fees, etc.

Multi-Participant Discount

Register 2 or more participants in a program and receive $25 off the overall registration.

Package Discount

Register for all 4 weeks of Summer Group A sessions and receive a 20% discount — roughly the equivalent to getting one week free.

Deadline for full package discount is June 1, 2025.
